Hispanic Heritage Month is a special time to recognize and celebrate the history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. It gives our children an opportunity to learn about the beautiful diversity that exists within their classrooms, their communities, and the world around them
.
Celebrating different cultures at an early age helps children develop kindness, respect, curiosity, and appreciation for others. It also gives children from Hispanic and Latino families an opportunity to see their cultures and traditions proudly represented and celebrated at school.
Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, our students will have opportunities to explore Hispanic and Latino cultures through stories, music, dancing, art, language, traditions, and age-appropriate classroom activities. Our goal is to help our little learners understand that although our families may have different traditions, languages, foods, and backgrounds, those differences are something to learn about and celebrate!
Different cultures. Different traditions. One beautiful community.
